Our Principles

Part of VCCP’s success has come from its longstanding dedication to its ten founding principles. They were established at launch to be the antithesis to all the frustrations the founders had experienced at other advertising agencies. It means we spend less time managing and more time thinking.

Our People

VCCP was set up in 2002 by four founding partners: Charles Vallance, Rooney Carruthers, Adrian Coleman and Ian Priest. United by their desire to undo the bad habits of big agencies, they founded VCCP on the principles of simplicity, collaboration, un-preciousness and integration around ideas rather than channels.

In 2006, VCCP launched a search division led by Paul Mead and it wasn’t long before this broadened organically across all digital media. VCCP reunited creative and media in an industry first to create VCCP Media.

VCCP later acquired independent media agency, adconnection, in 2015, led by Catherine Becker and Nick Baum, to bolster it’s offering across offline. VCCP Media is now a top 20 fully integrated media agency offering best in class media planning and buying.

The original desire to undo the bad habits of big agencies remains true today by delivering media that is right for the client, rather than the agency, where complete flexibility is available and ideas can come from anywhere across the agency.
